Everyone likes winning and there is no one who enjoys losing. When working in competitive games, you see the gut-wrenching distress of losing and the extreme of enthusiastic winners. Spiritually, we are all in a race with only one goal in mind and that is to win. Philippians 3:14 declares, "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
I cannot think of one person who enjoys playing games that are impossible to win. But the truth is, it is not that hard to win in the spiritual race. Jesus has given us everything we need in order to win. He has provided the training and the equipment. He has empowered us with the Holy Spirit to teach, guide and comfort us. And He has promised to undergird us and strengthen us daily by the Word of God. He also has declared blessing over our lives and has promised provision.
He has agreed to give us wisdom and answers to life's problems, only if we will ask. Hence...He has empowered us to win!
Choose today to serve God and follow after Him. Make a decision to lead your family in the right direction and stop making bad choices. It's time for you to "BE" the winner God has called you to be. Do not give up on your family and friends that are walking the wrong direction and making wrong choices. Keep them before the heart of God. Winning is within your reach - so pursue success in your spiritual life. God wants you to win.
