You and I must learn to trust that God is Sovereign and He knows exactly what He is doing. His ways far exceed our ways.
The Word declares, "as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Often, we can travel through life and when we take a glance back at the year past, we can clearly see the Hand of God in our lives. We can mark circumstances, difficulties, successes, and failures - but if we would be honest with ourselves, we would also see that God knew exactly what He was doing. At the time of trouble, we may have felt abandoned. In God's silence, we may have questioned where was God. But now.... there is no question that God had it all under control.
Sometimes, we are too self-sufficient. We are so smart, experienced, and seem to have all the answers. And often, we jump out ahead of God and try to guide Him, as to how to handle our situation. We want instant answers and are quite impatient. We fail to understand that His timing is perfect. But if we could just talk to ourselves today, it would be important for us to remember, "God's Got It!" And "as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than ours".
