Who doesn't like blessings? Yet, God in all His wisdom and grace offers us a promise of abundant blessing. In Malachi 3:10 the secret is revealed. "Try Me now in this....if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it."
This is a rich promise. Think about it. A blessing so big that you can't receive it? Yes, this is the type of blessing God has promised all those who bring of their tithe into the storehouse. If you read Malachi 3:9, Scripture discusses how many have robbed God by not giving their tithe and offering.
It's not that God needs your money, but it's an ordinance, a holy principle of God's Word. And it is a matter of trust. God trusts us to bless us bountifully, if we will only surrender selflessly one tenth back to His Kingdom. When we act in obedience, He prospers the 90% left in our hand and stretches it to meet our every need.
