God Fights for You

Did you know God fights for you? A new song came out a couple years ago that talks about how, "He's fighting for you!" and its a beautiful confirmation of God's love.

When David was just a young boy he set an example for us how to handle our enemy. Scripture records in 1Samuel 17:45, the bold words of David and how he spoke to his enemy. "You come to me with a sword and a spear and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Whom you have defied." Here we find that David reminds his enemy 'Who God is'. What amazing trust David had in his Heavenly Father.

Then, in vs. 46, we find strong words from David to his enemy, "This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand...and I will give the corpses to the birds..." David may have been young and immature, and frail in physical frame, but he stood tall against his enemy and spoke firmly  to his enemy. He did not waiver in an unprecedented anointing of the Holy Spirit. And David told his enemy who would win the fight before it ever began.

Although we sometimes may feel immature and frail in emotional and physical frame, we should stand valiant in power of the Holy Spirit. We must stand firm against the schemes of our enemy and speak to him directly and tell him precisely WHO is going to win the fight. It all boils down to one thing, God will fight for you!
