The Psalmist proclaimed, "Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His Holy Name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. (Psalm 103:1-3)
God is so good and we should remain always thankful. He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings. He forgives our sin and He does in fact, heal all our diseases. He continues to amaze me in all the ways He blesses me and His people.
Did you know there is actually healing and blessing in praising the Lord? It does us good to be thankful, to show appreciation, to respect and honor. Jesus sacrificed Himself on a cross for our sins to redeem us, so that we might experience the hope of a better resurrection. We were not worthy of His sacrifice, but He counted it all joy to give His life for us. And I cannot help but praise Him.
Take time today to simply be thankful and praise God for His mighty acts. Praise Him for His goodness, mercy and long-suffering. Praise Him for His benefits and His blessings. Praise Him for where He has brought you from and where He is taking you in your future. Praise Him for the air you breathe and the home He has provided for you. Praise Him for your relationship with Him - He is your very best, faithful friend. Praise Him that He listens when it seems no one else does. Praise Him that He always looks out for your good. Praise Him for the opportunity to share His love with others. Make a list of things you are thankful for and praise Him. Thank Him that He never changes. He is from everlasting to everlasting, the same yesterday, today and forever.
