Alone

There are times when we all feel as if we are all alone. Unfortunately, there will always be times of loneliness and discouragement.  At times you will struggle and feel as if no one understands or cares.  

However, Old Testament Scripture declares that God is Jehovah-Shammah, which simply means He is the God who is always present with you.  I am glad that God never leaves us or forsakes us. And He has also promised to go with us forever, to the end of the age.  

Even His Name shouts of God being ever present with His people.  In the gospel of Matthew 1:23, "Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His Name Immanuel, which is translated "God with us."  

God has taken the first step in our relationship with Him.  He sent His Son, Immanuel to die for us - for the sins of the world.  And because of this sacrifice, you and I can now walk in a close relationship with God and be forgiven. We are not alone.

So when you are facing hard times and you feel as if no one is there for you, Remember: God is always there, always with you to give you guidance and peace.  He stands with you.
