Opportunity

In Luke chapter 2, we find the story of the Christ Child - Jesus and how He was born in a lowly stable, placed in a manger and became our spotless Lamb for redemption from sin. We are so grateful that He made eternal life possible. Jesus became our opportunity for a redeemed future.

In Colossians 1:21-23, Paul teaches that wickedness and sin alienated us from God. But through Christ's death on the Cross, God's holiness and purity is now available to us. Christ became the avenue through which our lives can be reconciled back to God. Scripture encourages us to present ourselves, "holy and unblameable, and unreproveable in His sight, and continue grounded and settled, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel."

This speaks of a conscientious choice today to "Be Holy!" A choice to walk blameless before God and remain grounded and settled, pursuing God with full passion. Every day when your feet hit the floor, you make a decision to follow after God or choose to follow the old ways of your fleshly nature. The days are short and what we do with our lives now will matter for eternity. 

Think before you speak. Pray before you respond. And let God in you be the determining factor for the way you carry out your life day to day.
