Have you noticed lately what is growing in your life? Isaiah 61:11 - "For as the earth brings forth its bud, As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations."
God desires for you and I to grow righteousness and praise in the fields of our lives. These characteristics are cultivated by an intense passion to be more like Jesus. Face it. We do what we want to do. We pray and read as often as we want to do so. We seem to go where we want to go and accomplish what we want to accomplish. Our minds and hearts work together to drive us in the direction of our passions.
Perhaps, we should carefully maintain our fields as passionately as we plow, plant and harvest our outdoor gardens!? Maybe we should be mindful to plant good seed and diligently water and weed our spiritual crops that we might sprout righteousness and praise before the nations.
If only we will pursue God, He has promised to cause a great harvest to spring forth before all nations. This harvest will become a testimony of the greatness of God and will bring Him Glory. So the question is, "What seeds have you planted? And what seeds are you watering in your life?" What is growing in your heart? And what is sprouting up in your garden?
