Rash Decisions

We tend to be very impatient people and want everything "now!"  We really do not like to wait and it cuts against the grain.  But in Psalm 27:14, the Psalmist declared great wisdom to us, "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say on the Lord."

When you are at a crossroads in life and you have a decision to make...."Wait on the Lord". When your life is in an uproar, you feel you are in a dilemma and you do not know what to do....."Wait".  Do not be discouraged while you are "in the wait,"  but be of good courage knowing that it is your Almighty and Powerful God that will strengthen your heart.

Be careful not to be pushed by peers or family to make decisions based on rationalization. Talk to God about everything and do not make decisions without the blessing and prompting of the Lord.

Refuse to rush your decisions.  Hasty and rash decisions often are inaccurate choices and may take you off the path planned out by God.  Do not quickly and abruptly change the course of life, but "wait on the Lord."
