My grandma did a lot of mending and I remember watching her double-stitch seams. When I questioned why she was stitching the pants twice she replied, "If it's gonna last, I've got to double-stitch it to make it strong". The Prophet Nahum instructs us, "Fortify your power". Nahum 2:1-2 teaches, "He who scatters has come up before your face. Man the fort. Watch the road. Strengthen your flanks. Fortify your power mightily. For the LORD will restore the excellence of Jacob like the excellence of Israel, For the emptier's have emptied them out, And ruined their vine branches."
Now is the time that you and I intensify our bridge. It is time that we strengthen our families, marriages, and relationships. And it is a now time to take necessary precautions to maintain strong spiritual lives. We are in a war and our enemy watches in attempt to catch us off guard.
