Prayer Is

Prayer is a conversation with God including both talking and listening. But we must consider why Christ instructed us to pray.

Hebrews 4:16, "Let us therefore, come boldly before the throne of grace that we may find mercy and grace to help in the time of need." In order for us to pray more effectively, we must first consider the purpose of prayer.

We are able to boldly approach God with our petitions knowing this is our position in Christ. We also must understand that in our prayer chamber we are able to find mercy and grace. While we were yet in our sins, Christ died for us. While we were unworthy, Christ made us worthy.

By His Blood, we are washed and our sins are forgiven. And it is in our secret place of prayer, that we can find mercy and grace to help in the time of need.  God is waiting on you today.  Take time and talk with Him. Then, listen for what He desires to speak to you.  Pray with purpose.
