Exposed

Reading the Word daily places us in the path of God that He might shape us and correct us, cutting away the frayed edges and wasted debris and mold us into a great man or woman of God. Without the basics of God's Word, we grow frail spiritually and never become what God intended. Scripture exposes our sin and iniquities and reveals to us our shortcomings. God allows us to see ourselves through the Word for who we really are, not to shame us, but so we can make necessary changes.

When we walk in relationship with Christ and study the Word, God speaks to us. The Word is power and it is life. When we ponder the pages of Scripture, the words take deep root in our hearts. The Bible in Hebrews 4:12 resounds, "For the Word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

It is the Word that cuts deep and reveals the hidden things of man's heart. It is the Word that speaks to us loudly about how we need to change and move ourselves closer to God. Dig into the Word of God each day and allow the Spirit of God to speak to you.
