Repenting

It's a truly hard thing to admit you are wrong. We always want to think we are right.  But sometimes we need to shake ourselves, and be quick to repent when we are wrong. Repentance is defined as genuine and sincere regret.  It creates sorrow and causes us to admit to our wrongs and seek to become a better person.

Jesus of Nazareth went to the Cross to sacrifice Himself for all mankind.  He gave His life as a spotless Lamb because He loved us (even when we were yet in our sins) and He came to reconcile us back to the Father. But we are required to repent and admit we need a Savior.

The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth in search of a people whose heart is truly His.  He has a tremendous compassion for the lost, those who have not yet admitted their wrongs.  He seeks to save them from their sins. God is long-suffering and has a heart of grace.

You and your children, and grandchildren have this promise. Scripture in 2 Peter 3:9 resounds, "The Lord is not slow in doing what He promised, but God is being patient with you.  He does not want anyone to be lost, but He wants all people to change their hearts and lives."

Do not lose heart or give up on your family. God has extended a promise to them and stands at the door of their heart knocking. Keep praying and believing.
