Every young person wants to experience what it is to fall in love. We cannot wait for our first dance, our first kiss, and our first date. And although it is dreamy to find that person you fall in love with, experiencing the love of God is even greater.
The Psalmist declared in Psalm 118:2, "His faithful love endures forever." I have found over the years that sometimes those you love will fail you. They may not mean to let you down, but sometimes they forget about things that are important to you. However, God never forgets. He is forever faithful in His great love toward us. He knows and understands our thoughts and the cares of our hearts.
Scripture teaches truth, "He is the same yesterday, today and forever and He changes not." We can count on the love of our Heavenly Father. He always listens, He is caring and compassionate about our needs, and He is concerned about our every whisper. This is real love.
I've changed over the years. My memory is not as good as it used to be and sometimes I forget important things like a friend's birthday. But God never forgets. His compassion overflows toward us on every side. So when you have a bad day and are disheartened because someone close to you let you down, remember the genuine love of God that endures forever.
