Empowered

Do you realize we are empowered by Christ Jesus?  Jesus taught His disciples that they should always pray and never give up. 1 Thessalonians teaches, "Pray without ceasing". We should pray on all occasions.  Prayer must be a part of our everyday lives.  It should be spontaneous and come naturally.  We should pray often, at all times.  We should pray as we work, pray as we drive, pray as we go through our day. Prayer is a necessity just like water, food and air. We cannot possibly function long without it.

Prayer is key. Without it we are handicapped and incapable of proper function.  But with prayer, we are empowered with the Spirit to work in impossible situations. Prayer is vital.

Without prayer we are self-sufficient. Without prayer we are proud and independent. But when we are fervently given to prayer, we acknowledge Jesus as Lord and surrender to Him in submission. That surrender gives God the freedom to work in our behalf, work miracles in our behalf, and will equip us to live confidently in God and our walk of faith. It is in prayer that we learn to rely on and trust in God and become more dependent on Him.
