The truth of God's Word brings freedom to our lives. By reading it and ingesting it into our spirit, we have life. Coupled with a relationship built on Jesus that is acquired through confession and repentance, there is no limitation to your future with God.
While in sin, I walked in bondage and captivity. I was bound to the things and the pleasures of this world. My actions were tied to an old life of sin. It was only my acceptance of the blood of Jesus Christ and my eyes being opened through the Word of God that I experienced freedom in Christ.
I am no longer a slave to sin and bondage, but I now walk in dedication to the Lord Jesus Christ. And the daily Truth of God's Word enables me to be strong and continue to walk in this freedom. John 8:32 & 36 declares, "And you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free. If the Son therefore, shall make you free, you shall be free indeed."
