Shield

Do you know that God will be your Shield of protection?  2 Samuel 22:31, "As for God, his way is perfect;  the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a Shield for all who take refuge in him." The ways of God are without defect. He knows about yesterday, today, and tomorrow.  He knows what is best for you whether or not you agree with His Plan.  He has promised that He will guard and protect you if you will abide and dwell in Him daily.  He will be your Shield. But we always try to work out everything on our own.

Imagine yourself riding fast on a motorcycle when a strong, cold rain comes and you find yourself exposed to the elements of weather and wind. Wouldn't it be great to experience a huge shield descending from the sky and offering you absolute protection. 

In actuality, this is exactly what God does for His children. 2Samuel 22:3 shouts, "My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my Shield and the horn of my salvation.  He is my Stronghold, my Refuge and my Savior."

Scripture is flawless. Need an answer? Go to a quiet place and open the Word of God and begin to read it's pages. It is life and peace to those willing to look in. There you will find answers to your greatest dilemma and hope for what seems like a hopeless situation. If you will stop trying to fix your own situations and take refuge in God, He has promised to be your Shield. We have no advance warning when the strong, cold rain comes our direction. Therefore, we must strive to be ready for the storm in advance by resting in the strong arms of God.
