The Cross

What Christ did for you and me on the cross is incredible. He sacrificed everything, suffered great physical pain and agony, faced ridicule and rejection, drug his cross up Golgatha's hill until his body collapsed from exhaustion. He was sinless and perfect, yet He knew this was the only way to restore the broken relationship between man and His heavenly Father. He became our perfect Lamb. The crowd crucified Him and laid Him in a borrowed tomb. But on the third day, He rose from the grave and ascended back to the Father.

Today, people try to clean up their own act. They try to fix their own problems and restore their own relationships. They even seek to worship other gods than the One true and living God, thinking it really doesn't matter who they worship. But Jesus declares in John 14:6, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; No man cometh unto the Father but by Me." There is no other way. America needs to stop trying to shortcut their way to heaven and realize every individual needs a personal relationship with God.
