In Isaiah 43, the Lord reminds us that we belong to Him. He purchased us with his own blood and He says to us, "I have called you by your name, you are mine." Your ways used to be navigated by the wrong GPS. You were driven by the enemy, but things have changed and now God is in control. You are living in a new spiritual house and you've got a new owner.
New freedoms await you and you do not belong to your old owner anymore. And once God raises you up out of the past, don't go back, don't think back, and don't gaze back. There's nothing there worth looking back for.
In verse 18, God says, "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old." Don't wallow in the past, don't talk of it anymore. Your past is over and you have a new testimony now. So consider the fact that today you've got a new name. Walk in that freedom.
